Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Bolbala (the "Service"), operated by Solve For Why Pte. Ltd. ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

If you are using the Service on behalf of a minor (your child or a child in your care), you represent that you are the parent or legal guardian of that child and that you accept these Terms on their behalf.

2. Description of Service

Bolbala is a digital content platform providing Hindi-language stories, games, and videos designed for children of the Indian diaspora. The Service is available via the web and may be extended to other platforms in the future.

Some content is available for free. Additional content requires a paid subscription.

3. Accounts and Eligibility

To subscribe, you must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.

Children use Bolbala under the supervision of a parent or guardian. We do not create separate accounts for children.

4. Subscriptions and Payment

Bolbala offers monthly and annual subscription plans. Pricing is displayed in your local currency where possible and is subject to change with reasonable notice.

Billing: Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, depending on your chosen plan). Your payment method will be charged automatically at the start of each billing period.

Payment processing: All payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your credit card information. Stripe's terms of service apply to payment processing.

Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, you will continue to have access to paid content until the end of your current billing period. No partial refunds are provided for unused portions of a billing period.

EU/UK right of withdrawal: If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have the right to withdraw from your subscription within 14 days of purchase for a full refund, provided you have not accessed paid content during that period. To exercise this right, contact us at hello@solveforwhy.org with your subscription details. Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receiving your request via the original payment method.

Refunds: Outside of the EU/UK withdrawal period, we offer refunds on a case-by-case basis within the first 7 days of a new subscription or renewal. To request a refund, email hello@solveforwhy.org. After 7 days, subscriptions are non-refundable but you may cancel at any time to prevent future charges.

Price changes: We reserve the right to adjust pricing. If we increase the price of your plan, we will notify you at least 30 days in advance and give you the option to cancel before the new price takes effect.

5. Free Content

Certain content on Bolbala is available at no charge. We reserve the right to change which content is free and which requires a subscription, though we will endeavour to maintain a meaningful free tier.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on Bolbala — including but not limited to stories, illustrations, games, audio narrations, animations, and software — is the property of Solve For Why Pte. Ltd. or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

Your licence: We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use Bolbala content for personal, non-commercial use within your household.

Restrictions: You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display, or commercially exploit any Bolbala content without our express written permission. You may not scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract content from the Service.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Bolbala in a way that violates any applicable law or regulation, infringes the rights of others, attempts to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service, introduces malware, viruses, or other harmful code, harasses, abuses, or harms other users, or misrepresents your identity or affiliation.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms.

8. Content Accuracy

We strive to ensure our Hindi content is accurate and culturally authentic. However, Hindi has regional variations and evolving usage. If you spot an error, we'd love to hear about it — please contact us at hello@solveforwhy.org.

9. Disclaimers

Bolbala is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We are not responsible for any delays, delivery failures, or other damage resulting from issues beyond our reasonable control.

Bolbala is a content and entertainment platform. It is not a substitute for formal language education, and we make no guarantees about specific language proficiency outcomes.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Solve For Why Pte. Ltd. and its directors, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Solve For Why Pte. Ltd. from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

12. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.

For users in the European Union: nothing in these Terms affects your rights as a consumer under mandatory local consumer protection laws. You may also have the right to bring disputes before your local courts.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on our website at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by cancelling your subscription and contacting us to request account deletion. We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice — though we will endeavour to provide reasonable notice where possible.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
